Ask supplier he might already have own openvpn setup and provide app to you.

Most providers have a custom app, these days any decent provider should have DNS and VPN all hard coded.

I've been a long time user of stbemu but the lack of easy searching apart from keymapping has made it unusable for me now.

I've pretty much just tried all the apps mentioned. I really liked xciptv but it lacked one important part, the ability to skip forward or ff on catchup.
Smarters does it all so that's the app I'm using and would recommend.
