Hi, been using a 500gb Toshiba drive for a couple of years without issue. Following demise of cable thought I would use it for general storage. Neither my windows 7 or windows 10 laptop will recognise it as a readable drive. Zgemma still reads it no problem. Have updated drivers etc but at a loss on what to do to make it visible and usable.
Using H2H as a freeview box and converted to IPTV with Shield & firestick. Any suggestions?

It will be formatted as Ext4. Format is as NTFS for Windows.

Assume I can do this via the ZG if the drive is not visible on laptop?

No, when you plug it into the laptop you should get a message along the lines of 'this drive is not formatted, do you want to format it now?'
If not, just use third party software like partition wizard to do it.

Thanks Willo3092. Device manager didn't cut nor was I getting the initial format message but your guide and a download of MiniTool Wizard did the trick.
