Hard Drive Question

I'm getting a new 4k satellite receiver, if i take the hard drive out of my current box and put it in the new one would everything on it still play?

Depends mate you might run into a few issues unless it's the same make/model spec wise

my current box takes 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch, the new one takes 2.5 inch, not sure what i put in the old one, i'll have a look tomorrow, thanks.

if both boxes are enigma2 and the hdd you are currently using fits in the new box then it should work fine, it's no different to switching a USB stick from one box to another.

If you have any issues, or worries, you can always back up your HDD to a Linux or Mac PC (windows won't recognise the ext4 filesystem used by E2) , then fit your HDD to new box and after you initialise it (if needed) transfer all your files back onto it over the network.

Thanks for advice, it didn't matter in the end as the HDD in my duo2 is too big for the new box.
