Having amplifier issues

Hi guys

Recently had to grab a one of amplifier from Amazon. After installing it and hoping it will solve the problem it hasn't really done much. I get ITV just about but no bbc channels. Used to work like a dream when I had a shorter cable. The cable I'm using is about 10 meters long. Maybe longer hard to tell. Do I need to buy 2 shorter cables and slap the amplifier in the middle? Or am I talking rubbish?

not used one but it looks like you are using it on a split signal, are you not suppose to use it on main feed first? you may have to adjust both buttons slightly and recheck.
are you scanning from main coaxial feed and choosing correct provider and net id?

Well the picture you see is the main line that's been split. On the left side it's fine. Really good clear signal but the right hand line is poor and doesn't get great picture if a picture at all. It looks like I'm obviously doing something wrong. Shall I try the booster behind the splitter?

yes but before doing that swap over those 2 cables and recheck as its to see if you have a faulty splitter. yes booster before.
