HD channels on vm pixellating

Ah ok Dave but does it make a difference the box is plugged directly into the router?? Cause it’s workimg perfect when I switch to the h2h , cheers for the reply

post the power levels as mentioned by @liamt in the thread above, VM may be able to adjust the signal if it's miles out, if the power levels are fine then you may need a booster.
Also what name is on the splitter being used? - no name splitters are a waste of time

This is the splitter ... how do I find the power levels pablo?? 09538ACF-B301-4330-A245-87F31AED8477.jpeg

those look borderline to me, but in the top portion, you've only managed to get channels 9-16.
Don't post a photo, just copy/paste the downstream data here.
The SNR looks low on some channels

those are the same channels as in the photo.
SNR is low, have you removed an attenuator from the setup?
Screwfix have Labgear splitters for about £3, you may need to try one, also, how long are the cables from the splitter to box and to router? - shorter the better, 1-2m max
you could have pasted the text directly into the post

ah damn that would have saved me the work typing it..lol….no ive not removed anything that wasn't already in the original VM set up. the cables less than half meter as its all in close proximity. do you think I need to change splitter then?? and I guess then a 2 port splitter? whats a attenuator also please pal..

for £3 it's worth changing as they don't last forever and that Technetix looks old, but before you do that, remove the splitter completely, put the single incoming cable into the router and recheck the signal levels, power off the router before you do this so that it resets all the data, if the power levels / SNR are better without the splitter it will show that the splitter is letting in noise

thanks Pablo as always, daft question now ...lol so I have already one cable going into the router and one into the box...this is a split cable from the wall... do I then remove the splitter and put one single cable into the router??

You may not need one, take the power levels without the splitter before spending money, if they're same, a visit from VM will cost nothing and you can continue using the Technetix

what for?
all you need to do is unscrew one cable from the splitter and attach it to the router for five minutes while you test the snr/dbmv levels, it's not permanent, we are trying to find whether the splitter is fecked

this is with the single cable into the router
