HD51 4K HD51 - Constant crashes - Wont USB Flash ATV ?

Hi All

Having some issues with my box, It was on willobuild some time ago and was told to change to open ATV 6.4 by my provider, every time I tried to usb flash open ATV it returned a "no partition" message in the led display on the box.
Ended up getting it working on grogbuild but that was unstable too. Since then I tired open atv 6.4 recovery and it seemed to work but not the box randomly has a software problem and needs to restart.

Tonight I tried to flash open atv again and got the usual "no partition" message.

Any ideas what i can do ? I think its corrupt so I also tried restore factory settings but its still unstable and wont take open ATV USB flash, if I select online update it tells me my image is so old that it might not boot again so to use USB flash ??

I recently had exactly the same problem with my HD51. What I did was to use the nightly Openatv 6.4 recovery_emmc version instead. The flashing then went normal with no partition error displaying.

Thanks Jazz, thats what I did in the forst place to get it running. It was on grogbuild and I used the openATV recovery which seemed to work but then I kept getting multiple crashes and still do.

Presume a restore might bring back the issues you previously had on older version or not compatible.One thing you can do is make a backup image first if needed but i just start from scratch so i know it should be ok.

How does one start from scratch ?
I did a factory reset and when it came back up it still had the open atv splash screen / background and same instability

Starting from scratch means flashing a new image to box , i never do a factory reset as can do more harm than good,
Crash logs if you have set them up on box can show what is making your box crash.

After a brief butchers, it looks like there's a problem with xtreamity and displaying images.

I'd remove xtreamity and reinstall or use a different plugin.

What version of xstreamity latest one is 2.57.20201023 and don't think trying jedimaker will make any difference it is just for making bouquets.
you should post your crash logs to KiddaC

My provider is telling me it’s the box. Suggested I swap it out for a shield as e2 is not good with iptv ?

that box should run iptv no problem but I think there are other problems when you have trouble flashing it.
