Hdd failure

Laptop running terribly slow taking forever to try and run any form of diagnostic to see what was wrong. Eventually get a pop-up saying hdd failure detected or something similar and to return to manufacturer etc.

looking at buying another hdd off fleabay but wondered how easy it is to do? Literally pull out old and put new in or will I need to set partitions for it? Comfortable enough doing it just wasn't sure if laptop would boot

will boot but need to load windows again fairly easy why not format it and start again b4 buy 1 if u need windows i can send u copy if u pay for usb and posting about fiver

It won't let me open any programmes. Each time I try to open anything I get a Windows error.

managed to get a 500gb hdd with crystal disk showing only 7 hours of use for £21.50 delivered so will see how I get on and post progress when it arrives

boot from widows disk/usb and reinstall b4 buy hard drive might be infected windows u will need to do that to new hdd anyway google hirens boot cd see if still got problem
