I'm eagerly awaiting for my brand new Vu+ Duo2 box being delivered today, pre loaded with latest Vix of course. I spec'd no HDD as I have a spare 500gb that I can use for the time being and upgrade at a later date to a 2tb.
I just want to know if the drive will format once inserted and 1st booted or can/should I pre format? If so which file system should be used. I've read about USB sticks to be Fat32 formatted but was wondering as its a Linux system if it would be better to format in Ext4? I also read that the Duo2 doesn't need a swap file as it can actually slow the system down?
Any help, advise or thoughts most welcome...
