A 61-year-old man has been convicted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of one count of sending a hoax bomb threat email to Heathrow Airport.

Adam Busby, of Santry Lodge, Ballymun, Dublin, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sending hoax messages, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety, from Charleville Mall Public Library, North Strand, on 8 and 15 May 2006.

The jury returned their verdict of guilty on the first count of sending a hoax message on 8 May 2006 following over three-and-a-half hours of deliberation on the seventh day of the trial.

They will continue their deliberations on the second count this afternoon.

Well there'd have to be something amiss to do something like that :whacko:
