Help needed please is this even possible

Hi been away for a long time due to heart attack heart failure and a stroke but I'm back, I have an old 4k zgemma twin sat feed and dvbt2 tuner, I have a edision hd modulator I have a apple TV with skygo. I want to put the apple TV into the edision and feed that I to the zgemma so I can record etc from apple TV o have done this before with my old skyq box I know the limitations of apple TV and I know if I set a recording I will need to leave the apple tv on the correct channel my question is I can scan for it but I want to clone the channel so I can rename them skyone UK gold etc so it has the guide for recording but I'm lost I have used echannelizer in the past but stroke brain I have forgotten how to use it any advice or helo would be great thanks, if in rhe wrong thread please move it

Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope recovery continues without issues.

You won't be able to do what you want fully. The input into the Zgemma will always be the same no matter what channel is showing on the Apple TV. The recording will always have the same name and won't have any program data. You will also have to ensure that any copyright protection from the Apple TV is removed before the RF modulator starts piping it out.

I did manage to do it with the zgemma just couldn't get the guide I did rename and add multiple of the same channel, in the end. It was so flakey in the zgemma I ended up using a pi4 and Tvheadend and using m3u4u for the guide and the modulator strips drm as it's converting to a different format I can record everything on the apple TV skygo netflix Amazon prime etc I use sparkle TV in my fire TV and Nvidia shield and can watch in any room now and record i set the record path In Tvheadend to the zgemma internal HDD so at least it's useful for that. I do have to manually set the apple TV to the channel I need but using the guide in Tvheadend allows me to set a recording and it's done. Thanks for replying.
