Help required , when converting you Tube videos to mp4 / avi the quality is so bad, why ?

Hi all,
First of all I’m not very computer techy!

I am trying to download a few mini boxing fight video clips for a friend to use in his training room!

I find some HD quality videos but when I download the videos using online you tube to mp4 / avi convertor tools
The picture quality is so bad !
It looks worst than DVD quality!
This is selecting what type of quality I would like to convert it to (I select 720)

How can I keep the resolution / image quality looking good
It does not need to be 4K or even 1080 quality
720 is more than perfect for him especially
What tool would you recommend to use or best way of going about this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have tried onlinevideoconverter.com and also
flvto.biz
And it’s the same

To be honest even if the videos are converted to even say 500mb I’ll be happy with that as that’s normally more than watchable

I’m using my computer - windows
Before I transfer the files to this unbranded media player he’s got I thought I would playback on my computer and the quality is horrendous !

You know any links or download tool for windows ?

Just noticed that’s for windows 10
I’m still using windows 7 *rolling eyes*

To be honest I hate windows 10 that’s why I haven’t updated it.
Assume it would still work on windows 7 ?

Thanks for that I managed to download it
It just wouldn’t convert any files
It just say I need to upgrade

So I downloaded another one that’s working perfectly thanks for your help
 
Third party softwares do degrade the quality of the video when you try to download videos from youtube using them. So recommended software would be Youtube downloader.
