Help Wanted Please

Hi; I'm really new to all this and know less than nothing... I have satellite internet [very fast 20 mbps down and 6 up] which has a latency delay of about 800 millisecs and my question is will this affect viewing at all or will it cause freezing and distortion etc...? Also is a dreambox or a Skybox a good idea? I think I also need a paying CS provider can anyone suggest a good one please and any other advice will be gratefully received, thanks... Roger1

If this is your first go, Skybox is easy to set up, your broadband should be fine.

You will need a line from a server as you have said, you can request details for a recommended server here

Freezing (glitching) usually comes from the server end, buy cheap, get crap lol

Also, use ethernet from box to router, or a cheap pair of homeplugs.
WiFi dongles can also cause freezing.

Yes, just make sure they advertise "genuine" boxes
as there are plenty of clones about and you will end up here

If you can afford a blade, they are better boxes and easy to set up too
