Cable how do i add nline?

hi guys. im no dummy, well atleast i dont think i am. been at boxes for over ten years.

trying the new zgemma. done everything. auto scan works, autob scan works. epg works. all channels shown. over 400 on VM (im only connected to vm) tuner b all set up. some freeview channels are there. iv tried mg cam, CCcam, newcamd, files. tried mgcamd as softcam and cccam. cant get additional channels and tried numerous free lines and even purchased a temp line.

my nline reads as follows:

CWS = sky.xxxxxx.biz portxx userxx passwordxx 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

thats in a newcamd.list file. and the only line iv put in it. (obviously blanked out details) but server, port, username, password, 01-14

disabled tuner A

tried numerous vix images. gone back to the basics vix image. still nothing.

any ideas guys? most appreciated. :)
 
i got the line from...not sure forum rules allow me to say it. it may be a sat nline im not sure. just told it works for all zgemmas. ill try get a test line from cable section see if that makes any difference. cheers :)
 
Yes cable and sat lines are different if you want cable you have to get one from the recommend from cable section.
 
yep thanking you. where i got my line from i told them it was a h1 and for cable vm. my dumb fault as i should notice the line actually starts with sky.xxx lol. soon i got a cable line (ty for suggesting i go to the cable forum) boom right on right away.

only annoying thing is the remote. buttons are backwards or dont work. click back i get epg. press epg i get epg. press exit i get back. press previous i get info bar. etc etc lol.
 
The problems you or having with the buttons is that the openvix version on your box is not for Zgemma as it is not supported by vix. its a hack version for a different box. so you may come across problems annoying at times, but that is something you have to put up with the zgemma.
 
ahhhh. i did try the original vix image from the zgemma website all the same. and same issues. used another image with everything set nice and same issue. is there a custom ATV image thats got skins etc? i dont see one. or will i have the same issues? no wonder they gave the box a girls name....awkward! lol. :)

@leader. if you dont mind me asking. not sure if its against rules. what is a decent dvb box for cable with just a simple epg etc and not so damn slow? :) iv tried a few. the standard sv/phantom was the quickest and most user friendly iv ever come across besides back in the day, card programmer n fun cards etc. i dont mind complication im up to date. but old folks like my moaning dad, dont quite get it lol :) just wants to click up/down n knows all favourite channel numbers as you get in the tv guide from the sunday paper! :) lol
