Hello all,
The other day I noticed that my box was showing the rec icon even though nothing was being recorded by me. Later a recording started and when I tried to change the channel it said 'no tuner available' which was weird as I usually have no problems recording one channel and changing to another. I checked the connections, everything was ok. I scrolled though the EPG and I could see that BET was being recorded even though I never watch that channel no did I try to record from that channel.
I have been doing some research online on another forum and it suggested that my box could possibly been hacked! I don't know if that is quite correct however I definitely was not recording the other channel.
Guys, I really do need your help to work out what security measures I need to take to ensure that this doesn't happen again and that my box is secure, I have disabled Openwebif.
