Okay, so you've decided you're going to stick with XP until they pry it from your cold, dead hands. But what happens as the world transitions from the old version of the Internet Protocol, IPv4, to the "next gen," IPv6? Luckily, you won't be forced to upgrade your OS in order to join the march. Although it doesn't come installed by default on XP as it does on Windows 7, it's pretty easy (but not particularly obvious) to install IPv6 on your XP computer. Here's how:
Click Start | All Programs | Accessories | Command Prompt or click Start | Run and in the Run box, type cmd
At the command prompt, type netsh int ipv6 install
Press Enter.
Close the command prompt window.
Restart the computer.
