HTPC connection

Hi,

Hope this is posted in the correct sub forum. :whistling:

I have an HTPC with DVI, HDMI, VGA, USB etc connections and would like to be able to access it from my home office - approx. 15 metres away. I would like to be able to use a keyboard, mouse and get video/audio from the HTPC. I currently have a cat5e cable from my office to where the HTPC is located.

One solution I have been reading about is a kvm extender...but believe some of these do not support audio? (ebuyer.com/product/141703)

An alternative would be a USB extender hub with receiver (maplin.co.uk/usb-extender-4-port-hub-48549) - to use the cat5e cable and adapt at each end, this would suffice for the mouse and keyboard. I could then use a video sender for the a/v, but have had probs with senders in the past, so prefer not to use this approach.

I'm not too tech savvy, so are there any alternative solutions that I do not know about?
BTW I'm running windows 7 and have a wi-fi router.

Any suggestions greatfully rec'd

Cheers
