I have a v8s open box and works great at my home connected to the sky dish and virgin internet ( they are all connected by the TV the router and sky cables are all close by and I use a Ethernet cable).

But when I take it to my father in laws it wont connect , he has sky internet but his router is upstairs so I have used a powerline adapter and connect it with a Ethernet cable. it shows http error when I try to update it and the channels are scrambled . please can you help

thanks will do , it did work at first ( appox 3 hours) then after that it wont show the channels , I have one and swapped it and again it didn't work . will try TP link home plugs

just phone my father in law what plugs he had , he is already have TP link homeplugs. both connected by Ethernet cables , he did have the BT version , what else can we do to fix this problem.

make sure 1 of them hasn't gone dead, check ther one plugged in router and the 1 plugged in box...I assume they have lights flashing to show there connected....
and also reboot everything I would unplug router, then homeplugs, then box from wall sockets
then plug router in and wait for it to connect to the net,
then plug router homeplug
then plug box homeplug
then plug in box
it will give everything a fresh connection and solves some connection problems

Hi if you try a channel update by the network and you get http server fault on the screen it could be a fault with your router my friend had the same problem and had to get his router changed I would try what jagsy suggested first
