Iconnector...There are no shortcuts ..damnit!!

For those among us who feel the Iconnector is a tad overpriced, and have sought a solution elsewhere:-
I obtained a cheaper piece of hardware from overseas,.
And the A750 is having none of it! hehe.

I daresay they knew we would all try, and adjusted the software required accordingly.
So just to let you all know and save some money, we might as well give in to the current price for the time being anyway.

Apparently it's not just the hardware...its all down to the 'handshake' between the two items.

If you disassemble the Iconnector you will find it contains quite a powerful processor of its own so I suspect its doing a lot more than simply acting as a serial->ethernet bridge. Its my guess that it will be handling a lot of the server authentication and data encryption tasks

Be interesting to disassemble the A780 and see if it simply has an internal Iconnector chip or if the tasks have been re-assigned to the main box processor.
