idiots guide to setting up needed

I have bought a Zgemma H.2S with vix already installed. I have also bought a 'gift' which is simply an email with a long string of letters in it.
What do I do now?
I have an F5S box which was setup by someone else but I now want the option to record.
Is there an idiots guide somewhere that I can follow to get everything working?

From what I can see there are only 2 sticky threads, 1 is for a back up and the other is not for a vix loaded system.

If you're not using one of the backups and keeping the latest vix on it it came with I presume(isn't a bad thing) then you just need to search really. Or look at this guide and just forget re the flashing part

In the idiots guide at the section for installing a line it asks that you 'go to menu, Ts panel'.
Has Ts panel been installed as part of the previous instructions? I cannot see a Ts panel when I press menu.
