Installation screen - cant get it off HELPPPPPP!

In his infinite wisdom, DH has just pressed the red off button on the remote. When the picture came back on the installation screen came on and I can't get rid of it!

I've tried the back button, exit button and menu button but simply can't clear the screen off it. I've also switched it off at the back and still the screen remains.

DH was watching F1 and he'll be a grumpy sod if I can't get it on!

Any ideas?

It sounds like it has been set to factory default somehow. You will need to do an automatic scan by the sounds of it to pick the channels back up.

If that is not the problem, then the only other thing I can think of is check your remote batteries are not flat. And if you can not pick any channels up on an automatic scan, that suggests your cable feed is not working or connected properly.

Batteries are ok as it moved from screens ok.

Checked cable feed and its in ok.

Brassed off now!

If there are issues in your area and are reported on the VM site then this could be the reason why your not able to pick up any channels. I would give it a while and then try again.

That would explain it allright.

As suggested leave it until VM site gives the all clear.

Reinstall firmware that gets rid of "Installation Menu",update with remote.

Where is your subbed box ? if you checked that you would know if the cable was down or not, it cant scan if there is no live cable feed as it has nothing to scan on and will just keep reverting back to default screen.

What firmware have you got on the box at the moment go to menu system installation and post the date of the firmware it has in there.
