Internet Connection Problem / Scrambled $ Channels

Hi all,

I am posting this on behalf of my dad who owns a Skybox F3 which appears to have a problem connecting to the Internet.

What we've already tried / ruled out:

1. Broken box - the provider tried the box at his house and said it worked perfectly fine for him. Said the problem was definitely on our end and to do with our Internet.

2. Faulty Ethernet cable - tested it on a PlayStation 3 and it worked perfectly fine. The Ethernet port on the back of the box shows as amber and green, while the port on my router just shows as amber (the ports used by my PC and PS4 show as amber and green).

3. Router problem - we reset the router back to factory settings and disabled Sky Broadband Shield (as suggested elsewhere). The problem remained. All my other devices (PC, laptop, two games consoles, smartphone - all connect without problem).

4. We tried the YouTube app on the Skybox but it came up with nothing. The spinning "loading" icon just froze on screen and no videos were listed.

5. We tried disabling DHCP and then restarting the box but that didn't solve anything. We tried putting it back and then restarting, but that also didn't solve anything.

6. All "free" channels (BBC, etc) work fine, it's just the "paid" ones like Sky Movies that are scrambled.

Around the time of this happening, I was messing with my router so that I could host a game server. I forwarded a few ports and changed my IP from dynamic to static. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If it has you porn try that password will be 0000. This is how I test Internet connection to any openbox.
sounds like the Ethernet connection on box has gone to me mate.

Hi
I am having the exact same problems - however I have tried youporn and it has worked?
any ideas on next stage please?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried YouPorn but it didn't display any content, just like the YouTube app.
