Internet connection v5s

Recently my box lost connection to the Internet, nothing was touched in the house, however ended up running a wired connection to the box, buying new adopters, and even getting a new router, nothing worked.

Have noticed several threads on this issue, I know for a fact the box is getting a live internet and a steady line. Yet the main sky channels are scrambled.

Could anyone advise what the best course of action is? Some have said to phone the internet provider as it's almost like they've blocked a device? What do you even say to them?

Any help much appreciated.
 
Does the weather app work as this will confirm internet connection ?
Have you checked in network setting to make sure Ethernet is active and green ?
Is the Ethernet connection at rear of box flashing when connected ?
If all of the above are yes then it points to a possible line problem.
Does the line state online or offline ?
 
The weather app did load up a new city when i added one, so i assume so.
Network settings show ethernet is green and active.
Solid green light with orange flashing light at rear of box.
Line shows a green tick beside it.

phoned bt there and they said the internet line is stable and they cannot nor will not block any devices.

Out of possible ideas here
 
Sounds like it's your line that's the problem ?
Get a test line thru the request section and see if that works.
If you are stuck I can test your line for you if you pm me your details ?
 
will try and sort a test line and see how that goes! thanks for the help

One final thought !
Have you tried a complete turn off all devices/remove power leads and then reconnect and reboot ?
Connections to line servers go stale and into freeze mode sometimes and only this kicks them back into life.
Worth another try ?
