Need some advice on which is the best setup to run iptv on I have quite a few devices in the house so can setup in different rooms if possible but I have a zgemma star 2s a couple of devices for kodi and a mag 254 box the reason I ask is I have just seen a setup online with perfect player that looked impressive.

Hi Mate,

The Mag is the best IMO, as its a complete unit build for the job. Simple to set-up and stable to use. You can get the other working but they need a little TLC now and again.
 
Hi, I can ftp the m3u file on my zgemma box but how would I put a m3u on a friend's box who doesn't live with me...I took his box and was able to put the m3u file on it in my house and it was working grand but is it just a matter of him connecting his box to the broadband router in his home or is there some setting on the box or the router or his laptop that he needs to change??? Any help is much appreciated, Thanks!

he should in theory just plug box back in and channels should be working as long as hes internet is fine

Forgot to say I used E-Channelizer and we both have the Zgemma H2S
 
I had trouble trying to access his box remotely...got that message "check login, password, ftp port, web if plugin, firewall" but I think the firewall on his laptop using echannelizer was the problem...but I didn't know how to tell him where to go to check the firewall settings, I think he had the same settings on his box as me
 
Go with the mag I use the 256 out of curiosity I set up perfect player on my Nvidia Shield tv box the mag wins hands down for ease of use
