IPTV Blocked on Zgemma H2S

Hi,
I have my IPTV setup on my Zgemma H2S and has worked a treat till last weekend when the whole system stopped working during the day Saturday and sunday.
I contacted the provider who said that the English Prem League and ISP's have put a block on their servers whilst premier league games are on.
True enough come 7:30 at night the service back to normal.
I've been told by the provider only way round this is using a VPN, would this be true?
I don't want to subscribe to another as only got a 12 month sub in June.
Thanks

Never needed a vpn. Many big servers (greedy on Facebook Twitter etc) do get blocked by a recent court order. As your stuck to a 12 month sub you will need a vpn yes. I tend to stay away from the big providers and to be honest have very little issues if any although I only use upstairs in my house as cable is are main source of tv.

VPN is easy enough to setup on the ZGemma via OpenVPN. A monthly sub can cost as little as 2.50 a month. Digibit is a good provider.

Thanks for this I'll go check out both OpenVPN and Digibit as that's a very good price they have an offer on too for 20% off so its £2pm.
You haven't a guide for installing OpenVPN by any chance?

A VPN at your end won't make any difference as your provider has said it's their servers that are being blocked.

The server is the only thing they can block though. They will prevent access to that server via their broadband service, but the VPN will mask this and allow access.
