IPTV freezes

Hi

I have managed to get a m3u file and it works on my openbox v8s for a bit and then it freezes, I am wondering if it's my internet as I am with BT and they are pretty rubbish

Has anyone had it before or if anyone knows of a good m3u for uk that don't freeze

Thank you in advance

Not sure the v8 is up to the task to be fair.. try the m3u in vlc player on a pc and see if it does the same. Could also be a supplier issue ???

I think it is the file as it does freeze on vlc player and then comes up about unable to open the MRL, not sure what that means but seems like the m3u file is no good

Sounds like it's a bad one. But it is the weekend and some supplies get hit with too many users and some isp's throttle usage if you don't use a VPN. pop a request in the request thread in the IPTV section get some tests see how they go.

Good luck.

I think it might be the box as well as in vlc player it works ok like sky sports f1 channel but in the openbox v8s, it works for about a minute then freezes, what's the link for the iptv section, sorry only ask as thought I was in it, sorry if wrong

Box I'd imagine, done a zgemma 2s yesterday was embarrassed by the slowness of changing channels, the h2s runs smoothly now i would put the v8 even further down the ladder than a 2s

check your internet speed.

BT broadband can be slow. My father in law only gets 4mps out of his router, and BT say that is a good speed and within the expected range

I'd imagine that's right on the borderline of acceptable for HD streaming and may be why it is sticky. I know when my wireless speed drops to around 8-10mps I start getting problems streaming HD with kodi

ahh ok so could be the internet speed not good enough and maybe the box as well not good enough, don;t really want to another box if it's the internet speed as would be a waste of money if it's the internet speed as same will happen on a new box, some are saying the mag256 are good for iptv but are around £75 to buy

oh right so is that to suggest the iptv m3u I got is no good or if it is my internet speed is so rubbish, it keeps freezing

when people said the v8 dosent play m3u files well. The two I setup were fine.

I updated firmware on both then added the WebTV file with the no name fix and there both happy with what they have.

ahh ok cool, how do I update the firmware on the openbox v8s as will remove the current webtv.m3u file, update the firmware then add the webtv.m3u file back on again

Upgrade by network
Go to the v8s firmware select and update (it will wipe everything including sly gift)
I then added the Web Tv file and they also were named instead of no name.

still no joy, I upgrade by network and then added the webtv.m3u file back on but still freezes, it downloading up to 853kbs and get the picture and then it starts dropping and eventually goes to 0kbs and then it freezes
