hi guys,

Was hoping to get some help. A friend of mine wanted to get iptv as he doesn't have vm, so said I'll ask around.

Was wondering what box to use, any walk throughs I can follow.

On my z Gemma I got woosh which does everything for me in terms of channel setups and the sly look etc, can that be done on iptv to give it the sly look.

Is a vpn service needed?

If there's anyone with a good provider happy for you to dm me the details and il ask around in the request thread as well so I can trial a few myself.

Not sure if I've missed anything else so any help is much appreciated.
 
i have recently moved over to one of those cheap american servers it only costs about £3.50 a month. i have been testing it for about a month and it is very good however, i suspect i will need a VPN. which i use spider VPN and you get a free router if you use their service.
 
In terms of a box, you could use a zgemma like you mention and that will give you the sly look, this can be used for both sat and IPTV.

If not, there are loads of options for boxes out there, but it all depends on budget and what you want from the box, if you can give some details on budget etc it will help to suggest something. You can do it very cheap using a £30 FireStick or go to the other extreme and spend £200+ on a box and achieve the same outcome.

The zgemma will work and you can still set it up with Woosh.

VPN, most providers will not need a VPN now so it should not be needed, but the Prem League are going to start trying to block football again soon when the season starts so this could change.

Best thing to do is take tests, lots of them and take it from there. A server that works well for 1 person may be useless to you.
 
As @dt99 has rightly put it in his post it all depends on what set up your friend would like to have as stated there's zgemma boxes he could have with different images to imitate sly look theres a mag box theres 2nd gen fire stick you can have vpn on those if required which is better then first gen firestick as stated depends on budget if just for iptv and not remaing sly channels then firestick or mag box or zgemma i55 box which is for iptv as for vpn issue iptv providers have had full season to get a work around sorted
 
If you want something easy to setup and trouble free go for a mag 322 box with iptv and vod..If you want the skylook ,then get an enigma 2 box but as said above there are many different ways to set it up,plugin,script etc so depends on what supplier uses but most suppliers can offer various install methods and with good suppliers you won't need a vpn.

I have a spare Z gemma box lying around from the days sly used to work. So thats cool i can use that.

is the Z gemma good enough/quick enough to use or is it better to spend the money and get a mag box. In terms of budget nothing to wild, he happy to go up to 100£.

In terms of the iptv, want it to pretty much replace sly, rather then using it for just the footie etc. So it feels liek sly with an epg etc.
 
If you want the sly look and sly epg then you need enigma2, so a Mag box will not do this. A Mag box will give you an epg, but it won't look the same, maybe YouTube them and have a look first.

H2s runs IPTV, why spend more money when you don't need to.
 
Ok wicked, il try running it with the old z Gemma box and if it's to slow il grab a mag box or something
