IPTV on old openbox v8s

Hi

I have just dug out my openbox v8s and was looking at trying to get IPTV on it but not surew what to do

I found this guide http://www.openbox.net.cn/saved/upload/file/product_download/V9-V9S-IPTV function User Guide.pdf but am unsure where to find the link it mentions using the format as described in the guide

Request a m3u for a v8s. Rename file webtv put it on a usb stick and put it in back of box.. on box goto web TV in menu and delete old files then update by usb and boom that's about it.

Not the best boxes for this but it works I suppose.

Thank you for the reply, appreciate it, I have requested a m3u file so hopefully will get one soon

I copied all the text from a url onto the usb stick and named it tvlist.txt and then found a WebTV.m3u file example so pasted all the text into that but just got no picture, I can see the channel names but when click view, it dont show no picture

I'd imagine by now you've had about 5 or more PM's from people offering a service. They will have given you a link to download a .m3u file... Don't open that file just rename it webtv.m3u (filename.filetype) delete all old off of webtv app on box and update via usb with your new file it will work. Don't try the free stuff it may or may not work and is unreliable. The one you link (I'd remove it now if I were you. External links are frowned upon) is a week old already I'd expect most not to work by now.

There are loads of guides/how to's for the v8s webtv setup just Google it.. there's probably even a few vids.

I have removed the link, not had any pm's yet but will keep a eye out
