IPTV providers and using a vpn

Any particular reason why I seem to be having issues finding a stream provider willing to let me use a vpn? I know I dont necessarily need one to watch sports, but I use one for my own privacy.

Is it simply down to how they manage/monitor your account?

Some providers have it covered at there end can't understand why they won't let you use one when some providers advise to use one it's strange that

My provider recently banned them citing widespread sharing - alleging that most of the free kodi add-ons grab sport IPTV via this method.

They allow commercial vpns if you request, but only after reviewing your logins. But all private vpns are banned due to people sharing it forwards
