TVMosaic is really good fun isn't it.
I have a couple of ancient and crusty old DVB-T tuners on mine, and it pulls the Freeview EPG Data in a treat

Running on a Raspberry Pi2 Recordings are on a NAS on the LAN, and playback works very well with any DLNA client, and particularly well with the TVMosaic Android app or the TVMosaic app running on say a Linux Laptop.

I don't have it pointed at any IP Sources at the moment, but you can also use a M3U URL from an E2 box on your LAN, or if you have an IPTV supplier that uses the XC-API, you can point it at that too. (The lovely people at TVMosaic will also sell you one if you want to subscribe)

this is awesome! thanks! this is the first time I've used a NAS!

tell me, is there an unofficial app store or something...i have a feeling this can do way more!

and also, I can't update....just error all the time. (tried upgrading in steps rather than straight to the latest one.....but still nada)

so these are the errors.....tried to go for step to step using the updates, but nope....not having it....

I am a huge fan of NAS and rely upon it in my daily personal and working life. I suspect that like me you are the sort of person who likes to take ownership and control of your own data, and if one can then also extend that to include some broadcast media, then I say 'why the hell not ... go to it and good luck'.

BTW, Kodi plays really nice with TVMosaic (DVB-Link Client).

Just seen your post about the Updating errors/problems.
I've not used Syno' but heard good reports about it. It is probably worth trying to find the settings in the management console and set the thing to write some verbose system logs to a convenient location so that you can then try and troubleshoot things when they don't go as planned/expected.

thanks, man! this is just up my street!

kodi! oooooo........

looking into it....so yeah is there a way to side load apps etc. ? to do more stuff......

i'll get to the bottom of why I can't up date, no idea at the minute...

and here we have a vid of it in action so far...

Just had a quick look at syno's pages. It looks like they have a pretty hefty app catalogue there:- Packages | Synology Inc.

So, do Syno' make their OS available for download generally so that you can install it on your own hardware (obviously it runs on their own hardware products).?.

I also note that they have things like Docker and a VM Manager/Hypervisor available too........... this could offer a vast range of possibilities........

i really like it! i shall be delving deeper! as for now well pleased with it......sorry i didn't capture sound...(n)
