IPTV VS Sat

Now we have sat back which do you think is better. My personal view is IPTV has come on along way and with the coreect hardware and a decent supplier IPTV is much better than C/S ever was.

One of the advantages of IPTV is you can take your IPTV box or android device anywhere in the world without the need of a dish as long as you have internet.

Judging by the amount of complaints about the "new sat" lines it's not as reliable as iptv so I can't see it catching on widespread except those with ~5mbs connections.
For anyone getting 10mb or higher sat cs isn't worth bothering with

It's not just with viark boxes the enigma subs are around £65. Nowhere near the same content as IPTV.

Too be fare I have both, the viark when not glitching and there any many who say that there is no glitching is the better picture. But i have taken a new IPTV connection recently and when not running through a vpn with a fast speed the picture is pretty impressive.

I would have both myself just for recording on sat.
I know you can record on iptv but can be hit and miss, don't get me wrong iptv has come on leaps and bounds over the years better stream sources ect but did prefer sat.

Recording will depend on your provider and your box.
I personally tested the latest XRS 4900 and recording is a pleasure

Buzz Vidstick buzz XRS4500 z8 but like I said recording will always be hit and miss with iptv no matter how good a provider or device is

Never had a problem recording however, only ever record boxing

I have 3 different subs. But you do need to pay for multi room to record. Unless you record the channel you are watching

All you need is a multiline to be able to record.
If you use buzztv 4900 just use XC API or streaming libd option with username and password and you will be able to record while watching another channel.
On the 4500 the firmware will be updated next month to be able to do the same

I was one of those who loved CS and was gutted when it went..never found iptv reliable ...but now with the right device and sub I use it all day every day no issues..reading about the CS issues seems it's more up and down than iptv so wont be moving anytime soon..but I would have both if they worked as iptv does now and cs did before.

Spot on mate.

IPTV has come on leaps and bounds with quality and reliability over recent years.

if c/s is as reliable as before and lasts. Having best of both worlds is a big bonus.

Trouble is you only get the real benfit from c/s if you have a motorised dish.

On IPTV you can pretty much watch every 3pm kick off with english commentary I don't think that is possible with c/s

There is not huge differences in pic quality now i use Now sports to watch most games and would struggle to see any difference

Euro sats is best if you want all types of other channels.

But pic quality and just having choice of the channels on uk c/s as was case years ago is only a positive imo.

Along with IPTV having uk c/s hopefully for a long time gives people more options.

Even where 3pms werent on uk c/s on sat and cable was still great options to have before.
