IPTV working great on HS2 but not on Kodi / Laptop / Phone

Hi guys,

I've just been setup with IPTV on the HS2. The seller has been great and provided a script which installed everything on the box.

He says that I should be able to use the same stream in Kodi, or the app he recommended (Perfect Player.

Unfortunately it isn't happening, I've confirmed the URL with him that I've copied from the script for the M3U address and used an EPG address that returns a text file if you open it in a web browser.

Perfect player keeps throwing up generic errors and kodi is just blank.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Cheers,
Andy

If you wanna post the link with the username/password and server blanked out, then we can check to see if it's in the right format...

If you change the type from enigma22_script to m3u_plus, then it should work. He should be able to get the m3u link with options from his panel, and pass that to you, as all he's given you is the script URL by choosing the enigma2 option in the panel... Doesn't sound like he's very clued up :/

Reseller as always with no knowledge

thanks all, unfortunately it still doesn't work in that format.
I've asked him to send me a proper M3U address so I'll wait and see. Didn't realise he was a reseller.

Not all resellers are bad... Just the ones in it to make a quick buck or 2 without even knowing anything technological...

Is it possible your running 2 streams at the one time and they are being kicked off the server

brilliant it works! thanks for all the advice.

Unfortunately I don't have a working EPG it's just an empty list of channels..
Is there a generic epg that would work with my iptv playlist?

Thats what i posted if your provider has updated the links
Thank you dexyweescot, that partially worked. I've now got listings for a few channels, none of the US channels and a lot missing with the UK listings. Happy to stick with that though much better than not being able to use it at all earlier today.

Cheers for the advice

US channels are the hardest to implement it seems. It's all down to the provider if they supply a good working script.

However you can pull your own down if u read up on xmltv rytec teams work via openpli forums
