Irish entrepreneur Denis O'Brien's Caribbean mobile operator Digicel is donating USD5 million to support relief efforts following an earthquake in Haiti. The donation will be made to the NGOs that are spearheading the relief efforts. The earthquake has led to thousands of casualties and widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure. Digicel's nine-storey office block in Port au Prince in Haiti was unharmed by the quake.
