Is it possible to alter the streaming res from zgemma?

Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to pick the quality that programs are streamed?
My upload is not consistant, generally rocks around 3-5mb.
Im trying to watch tv on my mobile with vlc.
I have tried on 4g/3g and a different wifi running at 30mb download. So i know it has to be related to my upload.
I have tried direct ip address on case the dnydns was laggy, no different.

I would like to try srt the res is streams to lower quality (phone isnt a large screen) will also reduce the upload needed.

I have tried other players that support m3u stream but can not seem to alter settings on them.

Any ideas from any of you linux wizzies?

Cheers

you would have to send the stream to a PC or similar like a laptop running VLC and then have VLC do the transcoding of the stream down to a more manageable bitrate, High end receivers such as the Vu Solo2,Gigablue Quad,Duo2 etc all have a built in transcoding feature that can do this on the fly from the receiver itself as they are far more powerful boxes and therefore have the Grunt to do it

Cant see an option on the vlc for android from the full release of beta version.
If you know of an android plugin that can do this, it would be great for you to share the name.
Thankd

I am afraid it does not work like that you need to stream from the box to a PC or laptop inside your home and let VLC do the transcoding which will send out a smaller transcoded stream to a device of your choice, at the moment your trying to access the full stream directly from your receiver and then transcode through VLC on your phone that wont work

You should read what FREEUK wrote. Basically these boxes don't have the cpu power to do this. They would probably curl over and die. They can't even upscale a tv picture very well, they are even shit at resizing static images, yet you hope for it to process live video. Unfortunately it isn't going to happen.

I have no idea on these things. Was just rrcommended to grt one of these.

If it hard to setup to stream from my pc. I only need to use it once, im going away and the altrred the date or a football match :) trying to get access to watch it lol.

download this app. Live Stream Player 2.9 - it has to be this version as later version removed the search function.

Code:
http://apksharing.com/file/1451036724_Live_Stream_Player_2.9

and install it on your phone.

In the top left corner of that app is a menu button. Press it. Open search. Type something like sky in the search box. Try the feeds. Some will be active, a lot will be dead. There is always at least one live.

Great little app for watching football while out and about.

And if you getting working (if it asks you to update. dont)
