Issue with volume control

Hi

Have Windows 8.1 but not sure why but a lot of the the time volume control does not show up. Have done a few tricks from what i have read and watched and volume control comes back.

But shouldn't need to do that.

Any one know why volume control is not always showing

Agree with Macman I would upgrade to Windows 10 my pc was on Windows 8.1 when I bought it no soon as Windows 10 came out got notification to upgrade and well worth the upgrade plus I don't know about others on Windows 10 but mine has built in flash so I can do a fresh clean install anytime

Don't think batteries have anything to do with volume control on a pc mate as its part of desktop widget

Maybe wants updated audio software but as said above I would upgrade to windows 10 as windows 8 was terrible.

Don't want to upgrade to Windows 10 tbh with all bad stuff read about it.

Like 8.1 as still updated.

Just wondered why volume control disappeared so frequently as never used to happen before.

Wondered if permanent fix.
