Is the error displaying in a dialogue box or a balloon pop up on the system tray (bottom right) ?

not that i no off m8, just worked out how to delete it, il let you no if it pops up.

Dee am i right in assuming you are running Vuze? ( think i remember it from last week)
if so, there are some compatibility problems between it and Java....
My opinion would be to delete Vuve, Update java and then install either u-torrent or Bitcomet, from what i know there are no conflictions between these programmes,
