How do i download the firmware to flash the kryptview a780. A

dan-ger-ous could you check out and let me know which in the list of kv A780 firmware downloads is the latest one, as there is one with the date 20/09/2010 #09092010.bin and the one your link brought me to dated 28/08/2010 #24082010.bin plus a couple of others in 4shared much appreciated if you would thanks, not allowed to post links yet.

If a new firmware file is released do you have to flash it to the box like the last one or does this happen over the LAN connection?

It's done via the kryptview menu through the LAN connection after the initial flash.

If you go to MENU:INSTALLATION then S/W UPDATE it will automatically search for new updates to the FW

In order to update your firmware and decrypt the channels yes. But its not required whilst scanning for channels.
