You`ll need a Null Modem Cable DB9F to DB9F to flash the Kryptview.

Please confirm what box to which u refer as above is for 750,780 and 790 but HD box does have update via USB. Also once all kv boxes are flashed they will then update(eventually) through a direct download from server. You just prompt for check through menu.

Only Hd updates with usb, but will update eventually with remote

KV boxes don't have USB port only the new KVHD box has USB port but as you have still not told us exactly what box you are looking to flash we cannot be 100% specific. what model are you trying to flash?

i dont have a box yet just looking into it, i have a starview at the minute but no subs sounds good,what are tuts new to all this.

Phil if you had an old box where you had to flash with the cable the older boxes that is what you are going to have to do with this one first
