Loss of access to hard drive through PC due to upgrade to 6.4 on Zgemma

I can see that this issue has been discussed before but I am still unable to resolve. I am asked to input Username and Password , in order to access the hard drive from my PC, but nothing I input works. In the past I have simply reverted back to the previous version but it appears that this version stopped being supported at the end of November. Another minor issue is that certain channels become unavailable when recording even one other channel.
 
menu -> setup -> system -> Network -> Samba and make sure it's running

you should be able to then browse to the hdd from pc by going Network -> zgemma -> hard disk

hi wheelo just got the new zgemma h9.2h se tried to connect from pc to box but cant i have read your post but the problem is when i go to menu -> setup -> system -> Network - there is no samba there to check if its running thanks from gray
 
Are you using open ATV? if so, that is where it should be, it's been many years since I touched VIX, so wouldn't have clue about it.
Do you have the box and pc/laptop on the same network?
When you open network on laptop/PC, can you see your box?
Have you a build on your box?, if so, which one?

If ATV, try this as an alternative.
Press blue button, go to network, network services, samba..

using atv newest 6.4 and when i press network on my computer it says zgemmah92hse when i click on it says error code then the network path was not found and also samba is running found it by pressing blue button network network services like you said

i have wooshbuild on the box but could connect with my h2h box with wooshbuild on it yesterday before new one came thanks
 
Can you connect using openwebeif? If so, they should connect , I'll have a think see if I can come up with something else.
Also, both MUST be on the same network/broadband/internet
 
yes wheelo just done that a moment ago and also yesterday to put wooshbuild on the first thing the error says is check if name is correct but its same name on computer as on the box as i hav,nt changed the boxes name or anything

check the spelling of the name or there might be a network problem it says
