mag 254 not loading up

new to mag boxes
mag 254 not loading up
starts then says
loading from nand
loading portal press menu
then black screen
any help much appreciated

is the resolution correct? e.g box might be set to 1080 and you are trying on a 720 TV?

no sure how do i check
just checked tv its recognizing box as pc saying 720x576/50i

is your TV 1080?

Restart the box, and when it says press menu - press menu and access inter portal and check video settings.............
