MAG 256 W1 vs MAG 256 W2

Hi, i would just like to know the difference between the 2 please.

I use the mag 256 w1 if I use wifi using the built in speed check speed is 12mb my wired connection gives me 73mb so I would think about using wired connection if you get the w1 my router is only about 2 foot away from box and I think you will agree thats a huge drop over wifi which makes me think that the wifi on the w1 is not very good but I have had no experience with the w2
