Is there anyone running a mag 420 and if so
are you having any problems with graphics etc
would be interesting to here about 4 series
as manufactures infomir are not making
3 series anymore ?

I've just got a MAG 420 to test and it's not supported by most IPTV providers.
You can add m3u to it or use Xtream Editor but the traditional MAG menu does not work sadly.

No it's not android. No apps can be installed. The menu is same as a mag 322 etc .

Sounds like it's not been registered on server with your supplier our they don't support minstra

You are right, so I asked a couple of providers If their Subs supported the 420 and luckily yes, so I have got a few subs now.
Impressed with the box tbh, very fast, good quality playback etc

But remember If you buy one, ask your provider beforehand

The provider needs to have the relevant configuration files that support the minstra 5.4 platform.

Can you post the details of subs who are compatible with the latest Minstra software on my MAG 420 pl?
A lot of hours wasted so far trying to find one so any help would be appreciated.

Most providers support the 420 now and have done for a few months.

Still having Issues with the 420 and Ministra, Is there a way to turn off Ministra on the 420 and force it to use an m3u or something else to allow me to use the box with my supplier.

I think providers just need to add it to allowed STB types on the API.

How to use M3U url to setup IPTV MAG 420​

Step 1: Download the M3U url which provided by the IPTV provider.

Step 2: Copy/paste this static M3U file to a USB storage.

Step 3: Insert the USB storage to your MAG 420.

Step 4: Once mag box shows the login screen click on embedded portal.

Step 5: Click on Home Media.

Step 6: Scroll down and click on your USB.

Step 7: Find and click on the M3U file in the USB storage.

Step 7: Click “Open”.

Step 8: A window will appear saying *Open playlist* , Now use F3 (yellow button on remote).

Step 9: The m3u file is added to the IPTV section of the Home Media section.

Step 10: Use “Back” button to return to the portal page and to “IPTV channels”
