A 24-year-old man has died in a drowning accident in Co Mayo.
It is understood he was swimming in a lake near Bangor, Erris, when he got into difficulties.
The incident happened at about 4.30pm.
The alarm was raised by a woman who was with him at the time.
Gardaí and emergency services are still at the scene this evening.
