Well, Windows XP EOL has finally arrived, or has it?

It has for some but not for all is the only answer to that.

If you were a normal home, student or even a small business user then XP EOL has arrived.

But if you are a huge business or a Government then XP lives on.........

Microsoft will continue to develop security updates for XP but only for those who are willing to pay them millions for the privilege. The rest of us however will have to go without. So, some Governments are paying Microsoft to continue to create security updates because they were too slow to upgrade their systems even though they had years of warnings, and they are paying Microsoft with tax payers money, that's right, your money!!! and even though it's your money that is being used to fund these updates? you can't have them :no no:

To add insult to injury Microsoft have disabled the ability to install Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) on a XP machine but if you already have it installed they will continue to provide you with updated virus definitions. Hold on a minute? Microsoft want you to be secure and protected right? they tell you that all the time right? Even though an estimated 27% of all PC worldwide are still running XP, Microsoft have removed the ability to install MSE were you to do a clean install!!!

So to put this into perspective,

Microsoft will continue to create XP security updates but you can't have them.

If you are an existing XP user and need to, or decide to do a clean install? you can not use their free antivirus program anymore, but they will still continue to create updates for those who already have MSE installed.

Aww, of course Microsoft care about your security..........................
