Microsoft Update: Patches 19 bugs

Yesterday Microsoft released nine security updates which in total patched 19 vulnerabilities within the Windows OS, these vulnerabilities layed within many of Microsoft’s application software title along as within some Windows services. To see a fully detailed look into the security updates check out ComputerWorld’s two page article.

Out of the nine updates five of the updates were said to be critical, whilst the remaing for were said to be important. Patches covered applications and service which included, Windows Media Player, Outlook Express, IIS, Office, and even ATL (Active Template Library).

As with all Microsoft Updates they should automatically download and install, providing that Automatic updates have been turned on. If not I would recommend turning on this feature which is accessible within the Control Panel, under Security.
