Missing channels, V8s.

My V8s has functioned perfectly happy for many months, requiring nothing other than an occasional channel listing update.
Today however it seems to have adopted a different stance. It allows me to view some sky channels, some sport channels on sky, europsport and BT sport 2.
The majority of channels either display a blank screen, "no signal" or "scrambled".
My first task was to download a new channel listing from a source I've used quite a number of times.
Channel list updated, but still the problem persists. Even free to air such as BBC1 HD are displaying "no signal". Any suggestions?

check the signal rate on bbc1 hd, it should be showing high 80's into the 90's, if way below this your dish could be slightly out of alignment
 
Channels have re-appeared as normal.
What miracle gained this?
I switched off the only electrical item I had installed since the box was operating normally earlier.
Yes, I switched off the LED Christmas tree and all channels function once more!

you haven't swapped plugs around have you? that's a common fault for these boxes playing up. Make sure openbox plug aint lighting your tree up lol
 
No plug swapping. The two are in adjacent rooms on separate 13 amp sockets. an odd occurrence, but at least easily rectified.
