HD2400 Mutant 2400 in the ranking of available boxes?

I’ve got one to start my venture but wanted to know if it is worth the hassle or whether the box is now too old and or no longer supported with current add-ons, builds etc? I can’t find much info on these, any reason why? Where do they rank with current boxes as I’m tempted to get a zgemma as the starter? Cheers
 
Cheers pal so I take it that it will suffice for subs and IPTV etc. is wooshbuild something that can run on this? Thanks
 
Ok thanks, it’s been a while since I’ve been in game, unfortunately I’ve not kept up my CPD since the good ol c&w days, I may even have my ol pheonix programmer somewhere gathering dust although I feel like an OAP getting introduced to social media with the current systems but I’m fed up with floating sly and vermin! Apologies if I’m just not seeing the obvious but is there a link to a suitable folder proving a step by step guide to setting this particular box up so I can get to the point where I can just add in there relevant sub ccline and be up and running? Cheers!

That’s some statement as I can find a lot of info on the VU+ box all positive but commanded significant premium and I got this for the same rate as a zgemma! The only concern I had was the lack of info about this model and also whether it would be supported as per the other enigma 2 boxes that are household names but it seems like you lads have put my mind at rest in that aspect so I will give it a go as a starter and once I’m confident I probably get hold of a VU+ seen as it is meant to be top dog. Cheers lads will no doubt check back in when I make a dogs dinner of it as I plan to get my hands dirty setting up either tomorrow or the day after...
 
For ease of installation, start with what was suggested above by willo - Wooshbuild infinity.
If, and when you want to learn about stuff, then you can put a basic ATV or VIX on it, and play around

Mutant 2400 is a quad tuner box, yes it is getting on a bit now, but the quality of the box was really good, still a lot of images out there for this box, but i suppose that this box is a bit of a specialist box being a quad box with removable plugin tuners...Cheers

Right lads, I’ve managed to get a shite load of channels but can only watch channels 1-5 the standard FTA ones BBC 1 etc! I’m at the stage where I think I need to download files and copy and paste some lines so the first silly and obvious question is do I need to find a supplier and part with some gold coins before in prep for the relevant line of code to see 500+ other channels that are blank? If so, as they say in the streets ‘Who Da Man’ I need to purchase said code? I’m running a cable feed so is there a specific line of code I need that is different to Sat boxes? Also I can’t view other standard FTA channels like ITV 2, BBC Three etc. that I could get with my sat but I’m assuming those are not FTA on cable as standard?...Lastly what a box! It may well be getting on but it looks and performs like mini beast, you lot are probably laughing at that comment considering I can only see 5 channels but if the picture quality and speed of channel flicking on other 500+ channels are the same then I’m happy to keep this than upgrading any time soon!
