MXQ Reset

My boy has given me his box to fix and the old grey matter is not kickking in
It was stuck on 805 and i managed to get it past this to the factory rest screen
but thats as far as it goes
I cant get anything to move using any off the buttons so that i can shift down and factory reset it
anybody had this before or is it bin time ?

how do i flash it when i cant get it to factory reset
options are
rebootsystem now
apply update fromadb
apply update EXT
apply update cache
wipe data/ factory reset
wipe cache partition

i cant get curser or remote to move up and down this is whats stumpinng me

Via usb some times it will do it from boot up

lol i got it and i dont know how after it being on for about 4 hours
the wheel on the mouse started working and i factory reset it

Bit late coming in here but just to let you know the MXQ (S805) is still a very useful box and it CAN run Kodi 18.2. You can dual boot from an SD card so your Android side of things stays the same. I created an SD card, booted and had Kodi set up & playing all within about 20 minutes. The MXQ can also be used as a retro gaming rig or a music streamer too. Damn impressive for such an old box. Just do a search for the MXQ Project. I'm not affiliated at all but I'm always impressed when people don't just chuck old kit away when it can still be used.
