Hi,

Sorry Reaper couldn't resist the title !!! lol

Ok here we go, my mate has a spider box, no idea what model yet, it's obviously patched but
as we have seen so many times before he can't get in touch with his "plug and play" oh so helpful supplier lol

Anyway I can sort him a line out but I was wondering does anybody know how I get it in the box ?

Is it entered manually ?
loaded by USB stick ?
Do I need some sort of cfg file ?
FTP maybe ?

Had a look around the spiderbox section but can't really see anything as they don't seem to be that popular, any pointers would be great, i'm expecting him
to drop the box off to me sometime over the weekend.

cheers

Thanks for the help mate lol

Will filezilla work ?

Does it need to go in a newcamd.list file or something like that ?

Do you know where I need to send it ? Usr/Keys ?

I thought these boxes where closed source ?

Honest guv' ain't got a clue---just dug into my old files and that's all I have, it may be right or not. Sorrym8.lol
Reaper.

Will let you know how I get on, getting the box Sunday afternoon it's a 9000HD apparently

Cheers for the PM.

Here is the conclusion

The youtube video linked above works.

Menu - Accessories - Network

If the extra options don't appear press 1111

Third entry down,

Server - Client Setup

You can set the protocol to CCcam for C Lines

Newcamd for N lines

Or "off" if you don't want the line active

Enter the line manually, Server, Port, User, Pass

Then apply.

Exit the menus and it should be good to go.

You can also enter it by USB but I didn't bother testing.

Create a file called server.cfg using notepad

and go to the USB menu and upload.

Then go to the server section described above and activate the line by choosing your protocol CCcam or Newcamd depending on the type of line.

The file is created the same way as using a CCcam.cfg file for Openbox / Skybox just with a different name

The method is described half way down this post here

The box turned out to be a Spiderbox 9900HD with patched firmware, Darkman v.2

Finally, he had also lost BT sports and to scan the new TP the password was 6666
to get in to this part of the menu.
