Network fail on zgemma h2s

Hi guys,

all of of a sudden having issues with my z Gemma h2s with the only channels available are the fta channels.

theres no network connection even though I've confirmed the broadband tp links etc that are in place have a live internet connection, so looks like it's a box or software issue.

im running wooshbuild v4

any advice to get me back up and running with the sky channels?

Have you rebooted everything router/plugs ect?
 
Back up your settings and flash your box with the new wooshbuild v5 zgemma folder

If all of the above don't work, you could do with SSH'ing into the box and doing some network config stuff. See what's going on.

ssh in

then type ifconfig

see what comes up, if you see eth0, try

eth0 up.

If you're using wireless, it might be:

wlan0 up

Have a look at dmesg, it might give an you an explanation.

Sometimes doing a bit of debugging is better than just blindly flashing random images etc.
 
I'll try that tonight thanks! Are there any instructions on how to back everything up then reload once flashed?

Don't hesitate to message me if you're having issues. I'm not a zgemma expert, but I've got many years of Linux experience including low level dev. Most things can be fixed..... no need to perpetually upgrade/downgrade to fix problems :)
 
tried flashing v5 of wooshbuild and did it but through the set up it said box isn't connected to the internet :( any ideas?

also just noticed the orange light at the back of the ethernet port is constantly on
