New Box

Hi guys,

I currently use a Zgemma box that's great but I'm looking to buy a better box that can record 1 channel while I watch another channel.

Can anyone recommend a box & how/what I need to record 1 channel while watching another channel....?

I have a star h2 setup for sly it does have another tuner that can be setup for sly/cable but I don't have it configured.

The H2 has one sly tuner & one Cable tuner but as you are only using the sly tuner side of the box you are limited to just the one tuner, IF you want to continue using sly only go for a Zgemma H2S as it is a better/newer model & has two sly tuners. An alternative in similar price range is an Edision OS mini & is generally regarded as a slightly superior box to the Zgemma

Cheers for your reply BeakyFord, so if I went for the Zgemma H2S with to sly tuners that obviously means I need to feeds from my Satellite, but does that mean I configure both tuners and need 2 lines or does the 1 line work for both tuners as lines as they are configured?

You just need the one line and can watch one 'premium' channel while recording another :-)

If you are looking for a quick fix one stop setup for your box go for wooshbuild v5 as its already configurered (very little to do on your part to have the box fully setup & running) although I would recommend that at some point all users have a look at one of the barebones guides on this site so you have a better understanding on how these boxes work & how to correct any issues you may come accross.
